Don’t Eat the Banana

I reach out harder than I ever have before. I can feel the tips of my fingers reach the shirt of the adventure man. Suddenly I stopped. The whole world begins to shift.

—I did it. I caught him!

My body aches as it shifts into myself again. The light stops and I am back.

—Back? Am I really back? What happened to the Magnavox?

I look around. I am in a hospital room.

—Am I dead?

I hear the faint hospital music around me, but here is no one in my room. I try to stand up. My body feels different, but the same. I am alive. Maybe it was all some kind of dream. Standing up, my body feels better than it has before.

I try to speak, “Phar my putar?”

—What? Was that my voice?

I will try again, “Meepso.”

—What is wrong with me? Did I forget how to speak?

“Ibz.” I freak out.

—What is happening to me!

I am frantic, looking around for some kind of clue. Then I see it. My eyes almost against my will look up, and there it is above my head: a large glowing green diamond. This wicked nightmare isn’t over.

—I am a SIM.

THE END.
